When Haven Met Heliopolis

On October 11th, 2024, Heliopolis came alive in the most magical way. We gathered in the warmth of our cozy space to hear the heart and soul of some incredible local talent: Zac Wulf, Timothonius and Julius (the trio who founded Haven), and from our beloved Jane, whose voice graces our Sunday brunches.

Such a night is when the muses join us, and so my partner — who hasn’t touched his bass guitar in years– joined the incredible Timothonius and Jane in an impromptu jam session, using Zac’s bass no less! The room filled with a beautiful, raw energy that could only come from the love of music and art.

This was the kind of night that reminds you why we do what we do at Heliopolis: to bring people together, to create, to inspire, and to celebrate the deep connections that art and music foster.

The energy, the soul, and the spontaneity of nights like these are what we’re all about, and we have so much more to come.

Stay tuned for our next event—you won’t want to miss it.

We heard from some of our guests, including Dennis Lee of the Alcove Center for the Arts, and Emmy of Haven Group. We also listened to amazing melodies from our dear friend Alex as he played the piano.

The conversation was heartfelt and intimate, delving into stories of deep friendships, passions, and the creative journeys that shape us. The night was filled with laughter, personal reflections, and touching moments, all reminding us how music and art pull us through life’s challenges.
